How I Help (what it is like to work with a Nutritionist)

How it works:

First we will talk for about 15 minutes either by phone or in person to determine how I can best help you and discuss your health goals.  Next, I will send you a very thorough health intake, which you fill out and bring to your first visit.  The first visit lasts 1.5 hours usually, and during this time, I get the in-depth picture of what is going on and what needs to happen.  From there, I will develop a plan for each follow-up session, and a lay-out of recommendations.  Each 50- minute follow-up session is geared towards meeting your health needs and integrating healthy lifestyle goals.  In each visit, you will receive around five recommendations for your health that you will set as your goals to accomplish until we meet next.  I am available for questions or to check-in between sessions by phone or email.

When working with me, you can expect the following:

  • One-on-one consultations – Meeting together one-on-one, we will review your health history and determine the best plan of action.
  • Nourishing Meal Plans – Planning out delicious meals ahead of time so it is easier to make those healthy meals happen.
  • Herbal & Nutritive Supplementation – Supporting your health and health conditions so your body has the nourishment it needs and you have the energy you need to make healthy changes.
  • Kitchen Evaluations – Reviewing your kitchen and its contents to ensure it is a place you like to be and has everything you need to make great food.
  • Recipes – Guidance to make delicious, healthy food of all different sorts so that your body and palette are happy.
  • Phone and email support – Your questions answered and feedback provided in between sessions.
  • Subscription to the Nourishing Notions Newsletter – full of nutritional news, tips, recipes, & insights.
  • Grocery store tours – See the grocery store in a new light as we focus on how to navigate the grocery store and choose healthy foods.
  • Cooking Classes – Hands-on cooking guidance will take nutrition ideas from the theoretical to real-life! We will make delicious food and I will provide some tips on integrating healthy foods into your life in delicious ways.
  • Reference binder – A binder full of the information we will discuss in each session and you can use as a future reference.
  • House Calls – Can’t get away from home? I will come to you for a session at home, which can be especially helpful for all of you busy Moms.
